For the ill informed, summer in New Zealand is quite….difficult, to say the least. First it gives you a day of blustering winds, horizontal rains, overcast skies and a general soggy mood to the city and the next day I’ll wake up and creeping underneath my curtains is a blinding ray of sunshine. I can literally not keep up and god knows outfit choices become a life threatening struggle.
My home suburb of Seatoun can be quite magical in the summer. The coast is rugged and untamed (in between the manicured lawns and Volvo’s that is) and you know it’s officially summer when you get a text at 5.15pm that says fish and chips ‘and a few quiets’ on the beach?
Not much to say on this one today. Thought I’d let the pictures speak for themselves. Just an introduction to what summer looks like to me.
We love a good candid
To sign us off today I thought we’d introduce the Inaugural Summer Playlist. A collaborative event, this playlist denotes what my friends and I deem to be THE MOST important songs to be cranking at a BBQ, blasting through the car speakers, or blasting at the beach this summer.
